Paul Jasa's areas of expertise include no-till planting equipment, no-till system management, integrated cropping and tillage systems, soil and water conservation, and precision farming technologies. His experience includes work as a UNL Research Engineer and Extension Engineer. Mr. Jasa has been working with planting equipment and tillage system evaluation in the University setting since 1978. He holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering and a M.S. in Agricultural Engineering, both from the University of Nebraska. He stresses the systems approach to crop production, focusing on profitability and the long-term benefits.

James Specht is a Charles E Bessey Professor in the UNL Agronomy and Horticulture Department specializing in Soybean Genetics & Physiology. He has conducted research on the genetics and physiology of soybean response to general (and timed) water-abundance and water-scarcity for nearly 30 years. The practical implications of his basic research for the irrigated soybean producer will be presented. He received his B.Sc. in Agronomy from the University of Nebraska , his M.S. in Agronomy from the University of Illinois , and his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Nebraska .

Dr. Giesler's area of expertise includes diagnosis and management of soybean diseases. As an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska , Dr. Giesler has developed a research program focused on evaluating soybean germplasm for disease resistance and conducting disease management studies. He previously was the Coordinator of the University of Nebraska Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic. He earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Chadron State College, and MS and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Nebraska .

Dr. Bernards' joined the weed science faculty at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005. His research focuses on weed control in irrigated cropping systems. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Agronomy from Brigham Young University, and Ph.D. in Crop and Soil Sciences from Michigan State University.

Dr. Hunt is an Associate Professor and Extension Entomology Specialist at the University of Nebraska NEREC Haskell Agricultural Laboratory, Concord, NE. He received his B.S. degree in Agriculture in 1990, a M.S. degree in Entomology in 1993, and a Ph.D. degree in Entomology in 1999 from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE. He joined the faculty at the University of Nebraska in 1999. Dr. Hunt's research focuses on the management and ecology of insect pests of crops in Nebraska. His research projects fall in the general categories of economic threshold development, resistance management, insect pest biology & behavior, emerging problems, and product efficacy.

Lowell is an Extension Weed Science Educator for the University of Nebraska. He is located on the east campus at UN-Lincoln. His primary duties are to participate in, and plan extension weed science education activities in conjunction with other faculty and staff in our department and throughout the extension service. These activities range from coordinating the Crop Protection Clinics to identifying plant samples submitted to the diagnostic clinic. He did his training at Iowa State University, with a B.S. in agronomy and a M.S. in weed science. His background is primarily in corn and soybean production.

Keith has been with the University of Nebraska since 1979 beginning with the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program.  In January of 2009 he began a new position as Extension Educator for Dixon, Dakota, and Thurston counties.  Keith's background is in entomology and he has provided classroom and in-the-field training in pest identification and field scouting techniques.  He also conducts field research and demonstrations on various pest problems. His primary focus as an Educator will be "Crops of the Future". Keith has a M.S. in Entomology from North Dakota State University.

Charlie is an extension and research specialist in nutrient management for more efficient crop production and water quality protection. Areas of interest include: soil fertility management for corn, sorghum and soybean; improvement of no-till systems through starter fertilizer use and one-time tillage of no-till; sweet sorghum as a bio-fuel crop; and nutrient management for water quality protection. He also has collaborative research in several countries in Africa.

Ferguson
Richard Ferguson is a Professor of Soil Science at the University of Nebraska, focusing on nutrient management for irrigated production systems. His research topics include site-specific nutrient management and N management practices to reduce nitrate loss to groundwater. His research is focused on cropping systems in south-central Nebraska. He has a BS in Biology from Friends University (Wichita), and MS and PhD degrees in Soil Fertility from Kansas State University.

Brad Lubben is an Assistant Professor and Extension Public Policy Specialist in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has more than 15 years experience as an Extension agricultural economist, serving in Illinois and Kansas before returning in 2005 to Nebraska, where he grew up on a grain and livestock farm near Burr, southeast of Lincoln. Brad holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Ph.D. from Kansas State University. Lubben is involved in teaching, research and extension activities, focusing on agricultural and public policy issues ranging from federal farm programs to trade policies to conservation programs and the environment.

Alan Brugler is the President of Brugler Marketing & Management, and the primary analyst and advisor. He grew up on a dairy farm in Northeast Ohio, and the farm (Ridge Dell Holsteins) is still in the family, operated by his brother Glenn and father Bob.

Alan is an Honors graduate of Ohio State University, with a Master of Science degree, and 32 years of commodity market experience. Beginning in 1992 he served as Senior Analyst and then Director of Research and editor of DTN AgDaily for 10 years, writing an estimated 10,000 marketing columns. His work was read daily by more than 120,000 US and Canadian ag producers and businesses. He has conducted more than 700 seminars and presentations for farm and commodity trading audiences in his career, and is registered with the National Futures Association (NFA) as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).

Alan has extensive contacts in the US ag industry, as well as in Canada, Brazil, and several other countries. He has been a frequent Technical Analysis and Advanced Options instructor for the Texas and Minnesota Master Marketer programs, and the Kansas State International Grains (IGP) program. Alan is a key speaker and resource for Ag Mktg. Strategy Groups. He is a Consulting Analyst for DTN. He writes the popular weekly Market Watch with Alan Brugler column for Farm Journal’s AgWeb.com site. He also appears on a regular basis as a guest analyst for PBS' Market to Market program, and Farm Journal's US Farm Report, as well as on AgDay TV.
